also humanity is an independent platform about the earth and everything it carries. It is not owned by, funded by or affiliated to any company, government or campaign.
Who runs it
also humanity is edited by Dona Dey, a journalist who has reported for The New Indian Express and Bangalore Mirror, and Nikhil Vallishayee. Both are based in Bengaluru, India. Every piece carries the name of whoever wrote it.
How it is funded
By the two of us, and by readers who choose to give. We take no advertising, run no sponsored pieces, and publish nothing on behalf of an organisation without saying so on the piece itself.
What we publish
Field notes, documentation, reporting and essays on rivers, forests, soil, air, seasons, species and the people living alongside them. Contributions come from anywhere on Earth. Everything stays free to read.
Our standards
- Every figure carries its source, named on the page.
- Contributors keep their names on their work and decide how they are credited.
- Nothing about a community is published without that community's agreement, and consent can be withdrawn.
- We do not publish AI-generated images of people, places or animals presented as real.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, write to info@alsohumanity.com and we will correct it and say on the piece what changed and when. We would rather be corrected than be quietly wrong.
